Habitat Management

We have a wonderful and well established habitat management plan for the Island that is focused on maintaining safe and easy access to and around the Island and to the various net sites and Shearwater colonies. It also is aimed at the preservation of natural habitat, the removal of foreign “alien” species such as the notorious Himalayan balsam and to develop and improve flora, fauna and soil structure which in turn helps to protect and foster our seabirds and passerines.

We are in constant need of more volunteers to aid in the important habitat management on the Island and would encourage anyone interested to get in touch.
